Kim and Craig's wedding was on a very gray day, but after looking at the weather radar, it seemed that they would be in the clear. Getting ready photos - no rain. Formals - no rain. Attendants walking down the aisle - no rain. Then, as Kim began her walk down the aisle, the sky opened up and it was too late to move the wedding indoors (the inside of the venue, The Falls in Columbia, Illinois, was already set up for the reception).
Per my contract, I could have run inside to protect my camera gear, but I couldn't miss the opportunity to capture such a special moment.
For the curious, my camera did short out. But, as always, I brought along more than one and the wet camera worked again after it dried up.
Before you feel too bad for Kim and Craig and their rainy wedding day, take a look their reward:
It seems to me that they couldn't have been more lucky!

Thanks goes out to my second shooter, Robin Frisella,
for capturing this shot of me - and many other great shots that night.
