St. Louis Commercial Photography: Lift for Life Gym

I recently went to Lift For Life Gym and took pictures for them to use in their promotional and fundraising materials. The gym opened in 1988 and it is located just north of downtown St. Louis. Not only does it provide a place for its young members to exercise, but it also gives them a place to get a nutritious meal, do homework, hang out with their friends, and learn. Kids earn Gym "dollars" for assisting and good behavior, and they can then redeem their money for special field trips, movie tickets, and more. To the kids, the Gym truly is a haven and a second home.

If that's not enough, all of this is provided to them and their parents free of charge. Here's how you can help them out.

St. Louis Family Photography: Reis and Family

Sara and Andrew (see their Lafayette Square maternity photo session if you don't remember them) had their baby on June 23. They decided to not name him "Angus" after all; instead, they chose Reis.

As a gift to Reis's grandmother, they asked me to shoot a family session at Tower Grove Park earlier this month when she and Reis's cousins were all in St. Louis visiting. We had a blast!

St. Louis Engagement Photography: Sara and Tim

Sara and Tim's St. Louis wedding is taking place next year, and because they live out of town, they've left some of their wedding planning to the capable hands at Cosmopolitan Events. After Sara and Tim selected me as their photographer, we found out that we had a close mutual friend - what a small world!

We went to Sara's alma mater (and mine and Stef's as well), Washington University, for their engagement session on what may have been one of the hottest days of the summer.

St. Louis Commercial Photography: Band Photography of Defiance Pointe

I've done a fair amount of commercial photography, but I had not done any band photography prior to this shoot for Defiance Pointe. Defiance Pointe is a local rock band with its origins in New Melle, MO, and they fuse many different sounds into their own unique musical style. The band opted for an urban setting for their photoshoot.
